Newbie Question

Just a simple qusetion, I just dont know enough about DIvx.

what is the difference between 1 pass and 1 pass quality based?

Basically, if i direct capture with 1 pass its terrible, if I use 1 pass quality based its fine.

can I just leave it on this setting when backing up my dvds?

1-pass uses the same bitrate all the time

1-pass quality changes the bitrate to keep the same quality for each frame.


Read the forum rules and the guides, then search the forum and then, if you still haven't found an answer you can start posting.
It's really annoying when the same quenstions come up too often.
