Strange error

Hi,

I've made a XivD rip following Doom's 9 guide. I used the XivD binaries from yesterday.

I made a one CD rip of "Alien" (H.263 quantizer), and it turned out quite nice. Then I tried doing a 2 CDs rip with MPEG quantizer, ultra high, FourCC: DivX, and this ended up wrong. I can't explain well, so I made screenshots. Download them from

These are encoding errors, clearly visible in the "picture2" jpegs. In the one CD rip I made these errors do not occur. I'd appreciate if someone would tell me what went wrong. Thanks.

Try using the XviD FourCC code instead of DivX. Apparently DivX's filter doesn't play XviD perfectly.

You should read the forum rules once more.

first read the available documentation, namely:
the xvid help file and/or the XviD Options Explained.

There you find a paragraph about the fourCC and that DivX playback filter doesn't play MPEG quantizer type correctly, resulting in a shitty image (color errors).
