I have a sound blaster AWE64 soundcard, and when i play AVIs with a 48khz mp3 track, it ends up sounding like telephone quality
when i demux the track out using virtualdub, and play it using any mp3 player, it sounds perfect (so it is not my sound cards fault)
i have tried unregistering the WMP MP3 filter and letting it playing through the ACM codec, still the same
any ideas would be much appreciated
