Hi,

Another question, maybe it's already been asked, but there is so much info I'm confused:

Is there any possibility to use my encoded video & audio files with an DVD authoring tool, so I can make a sort of DVD on CD-R?

I mean, I would like to encode a DVD to SVCD and then use the streams for a sort of DVD like structure on CD-R (so with IFO & VOB files).

Is this possible and which program is the most easiest to use? I only want 1 audio stream and 1 subtitle stream...

Thanx again

Hi DYEWiTNEZ,

please take a look at the Doom9 DVD and miniDVD guides at:

It is doubtfull that it would work. DVD requires Dolby digital or DTS audio to work. It will also expect higher bitrates in the video stream. You are better off checking out what the guys in the Mini-DVD or DVD forums are doing and what tools they use.

As gerti67 said check the DVD guides.

Now making an SVCD and putting it on a DVD-R(whatever format your player supports) is a different story, but sadly most players do not support this method either.
