ok i was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on this:
i went to my local electronic stores recently (frys) and found they were selling a small computer box about the size of a game cube. it came with a motherboard and build on sound and video (??, not sure about vidoe) the only thing i need to install is a cd-rom drive and bam! i got a perfect divx box. but the bad thing about this is it only came with one pci slot and no agp. also the card is orientated horizontally so i'm guessing the card can't be too big. does anyone have a suggestion for a good, small video out card? also i don't think i want to keep the built in sound (i want surround sound baby!) so i was thinking about buying that external creative lab sound card ( i forgot what it's called) is this a good idea? inputs appreciated :)

about the creative thing: the buzz around the internet is that creative sucks a$$. I don't know about that new extigy external thing but unless they created a whole new hardware and drivers, stay away from creative labs unless you like problems. Also... doesn't that box come with onboard video and possibly tv-out already? I remember reading about it on a popular hardware site.

hey dude are u serious??? i always thought creative labs created high quality products, at least that's what a billion magazines proclaimed. but i guess the costumers are always right :D btw what would u recommend on a sound solution (no punt intended)? and in regards to the tv out, i'm not so sure about that. when i checked it out, i didn't remember seeing a tv out in the back, but once again i think (i hope) ur right. what site did u see this on? i'll like to look more into this...
