I am converting 8.25 Gigs.
My settings:
128 kb/s audio
0.26 bit/pixel*frame
Noisy Film
64% of 0.40 Compressibility
Removed Credits
2 CD or 1310 MB (would like 1 CD or 700 MB)
Converting .ac3 audio 192 kb/s track (Has 448 kb/s track)
Problems:
At between 10-15% completion of first pass, my computer locks up.
I have tried smaller resolutions. I have gone from 1 CD attempts to a 2 CD attempt. I have increased from .20 bit/pixel*frame and 70% compressibility to .27 bit/pixel*frame and 64% compressibility for noisy film. I have not had any success completing a single encoding session for this monster in no less than 10 attempts with variations in settings.
I have had success converting a previous 4.2 Gig project and wonder if it is the size that is causing the locking up of my system. My first success was beautiful and fell in love with GKnot. My second has yet to find its consummation. Please help. I hate flaskmpeg and don't want to have to go back. ;-)
