.cue.bin files

Yep definately a newbie

look i can't even find any .cue or .bin files to burn what am i doing wrong, or do i have to use CCE after ripping to encode and then they appear what am i doing wrong, please do tell !!
i'm trying to rip a dvd with the dvd2svcd programme and the only files that i get are .vob files 8 in all, what else do i need to do??

What exactly are you trying to do? Ripping will transfer files to your PC, nothing else ... if you want to convert to some other format (avi/divx, VCD, SVCD), you will have to encode your files to that format ...

If you get only vob files it means that you have only ripped the dvd. Did you follow the dvd2svcd guide exactly??? .cue and .bin files are created after you have your vob files encoded in svcd compliant format (mpg)...
So you seem to be missing some steps....How long did you wait?? Do you realize that the whole process can take up to 20-30 hours (depending mostly on your hardware)?? Maybe you just haven't been waiting enough...
