Hi!

I have a weird oproblem with the otherwise excellent DVD2SVCD application. The CCE Encoder takes 3-5 times longer to convert the video-file if the DVD is PAL instead of NTSC. Any ideas how this could be. Am I doing something wrong? Any settings I´ve overlooked or is it supposed to take longer and if so, why?

Please help me. Thank you.

Pal always takes longer as there is more info to convert.
You may also need de-interlace which will take more time as well.
3-5 times is a bit beyond normal, but it could be normal depending on what the movie needs to be converted.
Without seeing log files and the avisynth script there is noway to know what is going on.
If you really want to look into it further find a movie that took a long time and then post the DVD2SVCD_log.txt file and the Avisynth file using cut and paste.

Thank you for your quick reply.
Unfortunately I´ve already deleted the old logfiles but I will make sure to post the next one I make.

Well now at least I know it SHOULD take longer time. Thanks again!
