Divx5 new function "Psychovisual Enhancements" & "Pre Processing Source"
I did some samples.

Very interesting indeed!

I encountered the very same artefacts using light psychovisual enhancements... they should better have took that setting out, it's far too buggy. What's your conclusion? These pictures show that preprocessing decreases blockyness but also tends to "smear" the picture. I think I'll go with "light preprocessing" in future...

seems preprocessing does more then i thought it would. Clear loss of detail and less blocks. Makes me curious about light preprocessing too.

That psy stuff is not ready for use.
