Take the encoded mpeg and Demux it with Tmpgenc. Import the audio and video stream into Maestro.

Not with Tmpgenc. CCE makes mp-video and mp-audio files. Demuxing goes fast with Tmpgenc. Other option is to encode video only and audio only in Tmpgenc.

Sorry to be a pain but how do I make Dolby digital sound and 5.1, is this done at the authoring stage.
Will I have to convert the audio file into AC3 format, will maestro read AC3 format.

Maestro can read AC3 files. Soft Encode can produce AC3 files of your wave files.

Maestro accepts AC3 files, you can use Sonic Foundry Soft Encode to convert it to AC3.

Jestorius last question I noticed from a earlier post to get preview working in maestro you need to install cinemaster 2000 codec do you have this codec and please could you send it to me as I have installed cineplayer 4 which plays DVDs fine but in maestro under preferences both options are greyed out Checked systems and codec’s but no cinemaster codec installed and I can not find it on the web.
