I still cant understand, but I continue to have this problem.
I told it to koepy and he told me its the quantization type, but its not.I tried divx5 and now its for sure.
PPl who did some tests between divx5 and xvid have surely noticed that xvid is more detailed, u can actually see a noise type of detail
in big zones of similar colors like the sky for example. Its like the real dvd.Divx5 is not like this it tends to eliminate this detail, and u end up with a linear flat image(cleaner) but u lost details too(in my opinion).
THE PROBLEM:
The problem, is that Xvid give not this detail for each frame, it seems to me that only the 70-80% of frames have this kind of noise(and detail) the remaining 20% is more smoothed...washed out...its the same as comparison between bicubic and bilinear resampling.
So the image moving from a detail to another give the impression of pulsing and actually lost a costant detail....I tried the latest build too and didnt solve the problem.Ppl interested should try to look with attention, and will surely understand what I mean.
Let me know :)
