I have a movie that's 1.33:1 screen format. What aspect ratio should I select in DVD2SVCD under the Conversion tab (4:3 or 16:9)???

Is there a guide or table that recommends the appropiate aspect ratio for a screen format???

Thanx

hi, i'm pretty new to all this so there might be a better solution but i solved the problem with editing the resize and border parameters in the avisynth file (in the frameserver tab check "edit as part of video encoding and also make sure you check 16:9 in the conversion tab")

unfortunately i couldnt find a way to always calculate the right height value for the simple resize (width is always 480), i always had to play around with it.
ie: for a 672x272 divx file i converted the simple resize values to keep the aspect ratio were480x324
what is strange because the height of the picture would be bigger than the original, but it worked.

when you got the right value you just have to add the borders so that the whole thing has a height of 480 for ntsc or 576 for pal.
hope i could help,

AFIK you have to select source format... in your case 4:3. For 16:9 non-anamorfic you have use 4:3 too.
nonsense deleted ;-)

for all you non-mathematicians out there:
1.33:1 = 4:3 :)

@digity
there was a tread explaining everything there is to know about this subject. svcdfreak had some good stuff to contribute. try a search

I looked at the Q&A and Q11 but the link there is not valid
Can someone of the moderators fix it or atleast remove it.
