I'm using gordian knot 0.21b with windows 98SE - The problem I'm having is during the encoding process... during encoding, I always get an error saying: WARNING - number of frames counted does not match the actual number of frames. It adjusts the bitrate automatically, but I wind up with a movie that's 300 or 400 mb bigger than I expected. I can't seem to get a 700mb movie... instead, they are all over a gig! This has happened with 6 out of 7 movies I have ripped, and I wind up compressing them with virtual dub again which can bring about a great loss of quality.
Perhaps the warning has nothing to do with the size problems, but I do wonder because from what I can tell, everything is set up correctly. I'm hoping this is a simple problem that many starters have.
I've been using the 4.12 codec, so maybe I should try the 3.11 codec?
Thanks,
Stanky
