chapters with pioneer 343

I make my svcds with chapters but can't figure out how to display them on my pioneer 343.vcdhelp compatability list says my player supports svcd chapters though.What am I doing wrong?

I have a 343 and I use VCDXBuild with 90 second fixed chapters and it works perfect for me.

A couple of questions.

Are you burning the Cue file or just the mpg?
When you start the DVD player are you hitting play, 1 or next?
Are you using VCDXBuild to make the images?
If you are using DVD chapters do you have PBC selected in the drop down?

Chapters do not work if you don't burn the Cue file in VCDeasy, CDRWIN or maybe Nero (never tried it myself).
Chapters are shut off in the player if you start the disc with the 1 or next buttons.

If the answer to these questions is yes then post your DVD2SVCD_log.txt file using cut and paste.

Open the Cue file in a text editor. It should read like this:

yes I'm using vcdxbuild and burning the bin/cue.I tried pushing 1 and next etc and doesn't work at all.I'm using dvd chapters.Which button should I press?

It works only in PBC mode. You have to start CD by PLAY instead of 1. After play you can use next & prev.
