Hi,
i've just encoded (640x352) chapter 7 from the german "Bad Boys" DVD with quality based 100% (Quantizer 2). GMC and B-Frames were enabled, no Psycho sh*t ;) and no Pre Processing.
The Result:
Clip Lenght: 52.72 sec.
Filesize : 7.150 MB (!!)
Now the problem: the picture quality isn't good. The walls in the background are very blocky. I thought quality based 100% will give me the best quality :confused:
The same clip without any MPEG-4 tools looks quite better. Even XviD with "quantizer based 2" gives me better (the best) results. So isn't DivX5 the best choice for HQ Rips?
