Do you know why I can't burn at 2x with the 103 dvd-rw drive.. I only have 1x listed... Please Help!!

Only certian brands of DVD-R will work at 1x. It's in the firmware of the drive.

Very true, I have a bunch of the cheap 'Ideal' dvd-r's for my AO3, and although they seem to work great, even my buddies PS2, if I burn them at 2x, it still takes the same 45 to 50 minutes as 1 speed does. The pioneer dvd-r write at 2x as well. I imagine that some of the other better discs would as well, like fuji, mitsui, and verbatim.
