Which VOB is Correct?

I used the largest VOB file like the help file tells me to, but the ripped movie plays the director's commentary ( The director and actors talking through the movie ). How do I know which one is the Main Movie VOB title. Thanks, LOOP.

Because of the way you have ripped the filesm, you must play the files via the IFO file to not get the wrong audio track.

Thanks for the Info, but I am still a little confused. Did I ripp the wrong IFO file. I ripped the one that matched the Title VOB with the largest file size. Or can I use what I have already Ripped and use another IFO. Thanks, -LOOP.

u must use the .ifo file that has the same name as ur movie .vobs. btw, it would be helpful if u posted *how* u r ripping ur dvds - at least the app u are using - theres only a handful of mind readers out there hey. :)

Sorry, I am using DVD Dycrypter 2.4.1.0.

Ok, This is what I did. I opened DVD Dycrypter and it selected 1 ifo file and 4 VOB files ( They all matched by Titles , ex:
VTS_01_0.ifo and 4 VOB files VTS_01_1-4.VOB) I Ripped the files to my Harddrive. Then I used FlaskMPEG and Ran it to create a Audio-out file (Actually it is a MPEG file and can be played as well, but has the director talking too). Then I used TMPG to create a MPEG file. When I run the MPEG file the movie plays. Only one thing is wrong. The director is talking through the whole movie. At what step did I go wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks -LOOP.

hmmm - perhaps u have proved me wrong about the .ifo part ... beats me . :rolleyes: Anyhow, after you have ripped all the vobs to ur hdd u could try using another app such as smartripper or vStrip rip some/all of the audio streams out and locate the correct one ( first audio track is normally english movie stream if ur after that ). Or u could make a dvd2avi project out of the vobs after cutting the movie from out of the vobs ( cos it'll have the fbi warnings etc. still ) and choose "demux all tracks" to get all the audio streams.

Why are you using that old version?!? version 3 has been out for ages now.
When you do the encode in Flask, are you doing Open File, or Open DVD. You need to be doing Open DVD. This will initiate the IFO parser. From there, you select the right Audio Stream.

Ok, I think I got it, I beleive I was choosing the wrong audio stream in FlaskMPG, I choose the first stream and It works now.
But I have run into another problem. When Flasking do I choose NTSC or Pal, I choose NTSC and burned the mpeg to a cd and my DVD player gives me an error and says the disc is Dirty. I have tried 3 disc and the same error each time. I know my DVD will play CDR becasue I do it all the time with same CDR name brand. I live in the US and thought NTSC was for the US. Thanks -LOOP
