I'm encoding using the SBC method. And remember reading somewhere on how to make the file bigger and more crisp playback but I don't know where I saw it and I've looked, what I think, is almost everywhere. So my question, if my final .avi is small, not too small, but there's a lot more room for improvment what do I increase/decrease etc. to make the movie better looking inturn making the file size bigger cuz without audio it seems smaller than what it really should be if I were to do with DivX 4 using Gknot.
Thanx ppl.

There's a few things you could do to increase the final .avi size:
1) Increase the bitrate.
2) Increase the low pass filter (in the Bitrate curve section).
3) Increase the Min, Max, Start Gauge values.
4) Set a lower Max DRF.
5) Increase the resolution (image size)
6) Increase the audio quality.
Doing any combination of the above should result in a larger final output. I'd suggest increasing the Gauge and Bitrate first.
Sometimes, setting a lower DRF will not make a difference... Load your finished avi into nandub. Then use the slider at the bottom to scroll through the movie. You should see something like "Frame 45365 (0:31:32.083) [ ][2x]". Pay attention to the last value in brackets, this tells you what drf setting was actually used to encode. In some cases this will always be at [2x], no matter how low you set the Max DRF.
