I recently encoded the movie "10 Things I Hate About You" - It said on the cover that it was a 97 minute movie but after loading into DVD2SVCD the time came up as 107 minutes - 10 minutes longer ?? Oh well, maybe a mistake on the cover. I do the encode. Besweet shows 1 hr and 47 min of transcoding the sound. I check the mpg file after the encode and the sync is off by maybe 2 seconds ?? OK - plan B - I use Smartripper - Hey - Smartripper shows a 97 min movie - I rip the movie with Smartripper and pipe it through internal routines and do the encode. BeSweet again shows 107 minutes of sound transcoding and the movie doesn't sync again! What the hell ! Ok - I use Vstrip to rip - this time and BeSweet shows 97 min of sound transcoding - Yay ! But the movie STILL doesn't sync !!
Ok - I save the Vstrip rip because at least the TIME is right. I load the VOB's ripped by Vstrip again into internal routines but this time I look at the chapters in the movie length dropdown - Chapter 1 has a 00:00:00 time. What ?? Why a first chapter with a ZERO time ?? On a hunch I DESELECT chapter 1 and do the encode - a nice encode with PERFECT sync !
Anybody ever run into this situation - a ZERO time first chapter ??
