Do the keyframe settings influence 1st & 2nd pass?

My question is about the Minimum and Maximum Keyframe Interval! Do I have to use the same settings in 1st and 2nd pass?
...If I reduce the maximum and minimum, will there be I-frames that get the size prediction of P-frames and vice versa? Can't find anything about that in the included help file or XOE!

I'd like to expand this question, beyond filters, what settings will make a change between 1st and 2nd pass for XviD?

The keyframes generated during 1st pass are stored in the stats file and get used in the second pass. So you can set that value in the second pass to whatever you like, it's controlled via the stats.
(unless we did some braindead things again while coding that of course... ;) )

You are long enough in this forum that you should have read some more often that EVERYTHING that changes the compressability of a movie shouldn't be modified between the 2 passes.
(except for luma masking)

I knew that to be true for some other codecs, but I've been told not to compare XviD with thers. ;)

That's nothing to do with nandub.

That's the basics of 2 pass encoding - and you KNOW that.

Instead of abusing my time here you could do something useful, I go back coding some XviD stuff.

Where do you see me mentioning nandub? And no, I wasn't sure if that was the case, or I wouldn't have asked. If you feel your time is abused then simply don't answer.
