use default settings and you'll be just fine. only if you know what you're doing, or experience problems, should you change anything.

thx,
i'm experienced in DivX, not in SVCD. you want me to believe that DVD2SVCD apply proper delay for me, doesn't you ?

Yes, we want you to believe (riff from x-files here). :D
DVD2SVCD takes care of it (or is this little detail delegated to BeSweet?).

Hey, Maras, good to see you here. D2S does most of the thinking for you. In fact, with the exception of unchecking downsample audio and setting up the time bands you would be better just pressing the go button than messing with it too much. Hehe, that should make you crazy :)

thx. i take my hands off it by now.
do you think, that audio delay can couse playback problem ? I've got pioneer 545 and play Courage Under Fire - one dark and slowmotion scene. Audio plays ok, but video freezes for while & then runs out of sync, but after few seconds it gets sync back. first i assume, that bitrate is to low and my pioneer get trouble with play it. Then i re-encode it with min video bitrate=1100, but movie still freezes. Then i got idea to produce MPEG without audio and burn it as SVCD. Video plays ok without audio, even for low bitrate. What does it mean ? Can it be caused by wrong audio delay ? Maybe should i use different buffer size for muxing ???
It happends few times during whole movie, only with low video bitrate. Audio used was MP2 Stereo 224kbps.

Actually I think your disk did not burn properly. Use the method in the sticky above to burn the original files D2S created. Burn slow and DO NOT multitask.

i'll try it anyway, but after muxing in TMPGEnc it works OK already !
i remembered that i tried it before and it sux. I used virtual drive & Nero CD Copy. Normaly i burn with VCDEasy. I burned with 8x speed on both CD-R and CD-RW. It's PAL movie.
