I would seriously suggest investing in a couple of dvd-rws, you can probably get away with one, as they certainly prevent a lot of heartache.
I always burn to dvd-rw first (sounds good doesn't it but I've only burnt three so far !), and then burn to dvd-r when I get it working properly.
InstantVOB works ok for me. Nero will burn a dvd, you need to burn in dvd udf/iso mode, but wont burn from a dvd image. I haven't got a nero dvd to work yet!:confused:
