Dudes, it just came up to my mind.

With the new VobEdit v0.3 and the ability to transcode single cell's, we are now able to transcode Menu-VOB files too! YEA :)

I'm going to check that out right now, and to write a new guide on that.

Yep, what is the status of that possibility in Ifoedit ? That would be really great, as many DVD here in Europe have huge menu vobs with several versions of the video and audio streams in many languages.

well.. you can strip menu languages.. it's part of my basic ifoedit guide

Yep, but it's not enough, as the menus videos are in 4 languages (the videos !) as they included in the menu vobs many of the bonus, like slide-shows, filmography, etc ...

Anyway, thanks for the reminder of your guide which are all excellent.

it's my understanding that you can strip out the other language menus by using ifoedit.. and I mean the whole of it. Have you tried? Are you sure you're doing everything right?

normally most menu stuff is in the vts_xx_0.vob.. you can strip that out via menu extras if you open the associated ifo file. I have no problem stripping out stuff from menu vobs here.. many of the extras I stripped out in the advanced ifoedit guide (the layer stripping for Cruel Intentions) were in menu vobs and not separate vts sets.
