hi folks,
already searched the forum/faq but found no clear answers...
1.
i got a problem with dvd2svcd and cdmage:
i want to create chapters with i-author. so far, so good. the images work fine. but when i try to convert the .cif with cdmage to .bin/.cue by checking the "use cdmage" checkbox with dvd2svcd, dvd2svcd opens cdmage, but nothing happens.
do i have to check the 2nd box ["run this per (cd image)"], too? or do i have to enter "parameters"?
converting manually is no problem at all, but it would be nice, to do it automatically. :)
thanks for help!
2.
when i use maximum bitrate (224 audio + 2532 max. video) dvd2svcd gives no warning and starts converting. but later i-author-muxer pops up a window and claims that the max. bitrate is to high. then dvd2svcd recognizes an error, but the task keeps running. then a new muxing task is started. so after a while i got more than 20 muxing tasks! due to heavy load my pc crashes somewhat later...
using a total max. bitrate of 2700 instead of 2756 gives me no errors.
what's the max. bitrate i-author can handle?
thanks again! ;)
p.s.:
i just compared the bbmpeg_muxed.mpg with the i-author_muxed-image. it appears to me, that the i-author-file sometimes "stutters" or "hangs" for a millisecond. so the movie plays not as smooth as if burning the bbmpeg_muxed-file with nero as a svcd-project. this effect isn't related to my standalone-player - it can also be seen while playing with windvd. seems like no dvd-chapters for me... :(
