View Full Version : Crashing when Writing Lead Out

Hi,

I have used DVD2SVCD for a couple of movies recently, the process has created two .BIN and .CUE files with no problems. When I burn with either Nero (latest version) or CDRWIn my machine seems to hang on 100 percent when writing the lead out.

I am using the default settings in DVD2SVCD and good quality 80 min CDR's. My CDRW does not support Over burning - Do you think that because each file is a tad over 800MB (79 mins) then the writer is not coping. When I burn a movie which is spanned across 3 disks then it seems to work fine.

Can anyone help! ]

hi, what version of cdrwin are you using?
i tried to burn the 2nd cd of a movie that was even longer than 80minutes with cdrwin 4.0a and i got the same error as you but when switching back to 3.8E it worked fine. i dont know what nero version youre using but with my 5.0 it never worked burning .cue files.

Hi,

I am using latest version of Nero which has no problem reading .CUE .BIN files. I think the problem relates to the fact that the image files are a smidgen over 800mb and the software thinks that there i snot enough space on the disk to close it???

Can anyone help I know thi shas been a popular problem.

I am using daemon tools as instructed and I still cannot write the Lead-out. The size of the muxed.mpg's are 813mb and the .bin's are 825mb. Basically they are on the limit of an 80min CD and my HP 8100 is struggling to write the lead out.

Can I just tell DVD2SVCD to cut at a smaller file. Please Help someone!!!

Yeah, just change the 800 to, say, 795 to test your theory. Use CR to remux. BTW, something must be wrong with your media or burner.

I think ur right! My burner is no longer burning anything which is close to the limit capacity of the disk. Time to move to 32X burning!
