hi, i got this email about a prog called dvd-squeeze, they claim they can make a dvd fit onto a cd-r by compressing the movie into the size of an 80 minute cd. they say its basically the same thing as a wav from a cd converted to an mp3. i was wondering if this is true? can anyone verify that this really works and that its not a hoax? if u can plz lemme know

It's a hoax-they want to sell you software available for free here. And it only makes VCD, and it is far from DVD quality.
