Problem with colours

I have force filmed a movie and it looks to be interlaced.

I selected a deinterlacer and it seems to have worked as far as the combing is concerned.

the problem is... The red in ANY frame seems to be out of alignment about 1/4". The red is to the top left of everything else.

This makes the picture look REALLY weird.

When I use DVD2AVI when it starts saving the project it says FILM 99% when it is FINISHED it says NTSC 7%.

What am I doing wrong???

What method are you using? If you are not using AVISynth then you should try it. Then you could add Decomb to solve the interlacing (IVTC) problem. Just remember to uncheck 'Force Film'. Read everything about Decomb here! (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14011)
