i have a prob with the keyframe button reverse and forward!
when i wanna split the movie and use the keyframe forward or backward buttons the display output and input windows show me differnt frames when i move often forward and backward...so i donŽt know the exact frame at the typical keyframe...I mean: whenn I use the forward button lets say 3 times and then want to move reverse the picture in the output and input window jumps to completely differnt keyframe (sometimes to another frame then a keyframe too)...I nerves because before I finded out I splittet at the wrong position and so the movie part was to long or to short

Attention: I splittet a divx 4.12 movie...not a divx5 movie...but the divx5 pro (with adware) was installed

you ask now why i post it here in divx5 forum...the answer: this phenomenon starts with divx5 :o(

to my configuration: I have both codecs, divx 4.12 and 5 pro (with adware...no hack) parallel on my system; I splitt with virtualdub 1.4.9 or lower and nandub (at no version it works correct)

please I need a solution :o)

sorry for my poor english

i have the same problem and it also was mentioned a few times i think. you'll have to find your cut position only with the keyframe forward button. if you miss the keyframe, go 3 or more back and then again some forward, till you reach your desired frame.

hmmm...so IŽam not the only one with this problem
I know how to find the desired frame BUT I think this canŽt be a solution...I want the functonality of virtualdub back!

That peculiar behavior has nothing to do with VDub, so please don't blame VDub.

This is definately caused by DivX5, you're not the first to report this. As to why I don't know. I would think it to be contained to DivX5, but since you're having it on a DivX4 movie it puzzles me. The only thing DivX4 and 5 have in common is the playback filter, but VDub doesn't use that filter to show the movie as far as I know....
