[-ddogg edit: This thread split from the sticky titled, "Foolproof way to burn a SVCD to a disk"
This does not work with .CIF files created by I-Author, any suggestions?

.Cif images can be converted to cue/bin by using CDMage:

I am sure this information abounds on this forum. I don't use it but I do remember a couple of seetings MAY have to be changed. Perhaps somebody can let you know or you might do a search on the subject.

I think the file sizes may be too large for CDMage. I receive the following message
File length does not match sector boundary

30 seconds with the search button and I found another quote from Mozart:
To do cif2bin handly:
1) open the cif file;
2) choose save;
3) choose mode2/2352;
4) thats it!
Try doing a search on "cdmage and .cif"

Step 1 is to open .cif file....when I do I get an error that says
"File length does not match sector boundary"

this is happenning because you are using the wrong version of CDmage. You NEED to use the latest BETA version (1.02.1 beta 5).
edit: read Q50 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?postid=91355#post91355)

You guys are the greatest! I now use Daemon tools to disc-copy to nero. Which solved the play in standalone, but not computer. And I have converted the .cif files to bin/cue files.
What are the advantages of using I-Author instead of VCDXBuild? VCDXBuild now works fine since I changed the directory name not to include a "&" (so simple). But in the recourse, I now have a working viable option(I-author & CDMage). So which is better?

Mozart, I did a small edit to your Q&A. Change it back if you don't agree.

I split this thread from the sticky "Foolproof way to burn a SVCD to a disk" as it was getting too cluttered and edited in Mozart's answer and Q&A into the notes portion of the original post.
