Graphedit driving me crazy!!

I used to use Graphedit back in the day (not too long ago as I still class myself as a newbie as I've got a lot to learn) and it worked fine for me. And now I'm trying to do this SBC encoding and now Graphedit crashes on me when I follow the guide. Everything works fine, audiowise, when I load it and play the video I get sound. Then I click new - save changes, no and then i load all the filters in set it up all nice and purdy. but I'm thinking it has to do with the LAME MPEG Layer III Audio Decoder because for what I had to do a while ago was the same as now except for the new LAME MPEG... Am I missing something on my computer that's making it crash or what??

Hope someone can give me some insight into this??
