PCM or AC3 donwmixed ??

PCM and AC3 streams are on my DVD. I want to create a stereo Divx. So what is the best way PCM -> mp3 or AC3-> wave downmixed -> mp3.

i would go for PCM.
uncompressed = best quality.

Id go for PCM->Vorbis.

Use OggDrop if your not familiar with Ogg Vorbis/PCM encoding. It should allow you to drop the PCM WAV onto the icon and away it goes.

I'd suggest starting with a q=2 for quality. Do a listening test and then you can start backing down the bitrate as desired for a smaller file.
