i have a question: it seems that no one is using flaskmpegdecss for
ripping dvd's. well i use it, simply because it is easy to use.
gordian knot and all those other progs may have all those nice-little
poweruser gimmicks, but for someone who doesn't quite understand all
those technical mumbo-jumbo it is simply a pain in the *** - i
don't want to go through such painful learning curve to be precisely.
now the question: is there a reason why this great program (i think
it's still the best) doesn't even show up in the d/l section, nor
is there any info (except for the original flaskmpeg) about it.
maybe i just asked the most stupid of all questions (i know that this
prog is painfully slow, but as said above, it's easy to use), but
if not then i simply wonder...

maybe someone can shed a bit of light on this...

thnx,

I think it is mostly quality and speed issues, with avisynth, Vdub, and DVD2AVI (or Gordian Knot) you can use better filters and it is much faster. If you are happy with your current quality you don't need to change though you should try one rip with a new technique - just once - but you might not be able to go back to flask ;)
there might be other reasons flask is not the best program but maybe someone else will point them out...
