Hello Folks, first i want too thank ALL the persons who made it possible with there help and effort to make it possible to copy a dvd movie.I use dvd2svcd for a few days and it works great. But i have 1 little problem haha.I made a copy of r2 dvd movie (the ghost and the darkness) with dvd2svcd everything perfect but i made the svcd subs switchable NOT permanent. My dvd player (Philips 622) displays the subs, but when people stop talking the last subs stay on screen until the next conversation, also the subs comes sometimes a second too early. Is there a way with dvd2svcd to overcome this problem? THX everyone and keep up the good work!!! THX

do everybody a favor and read the forum rules, because you just broke 3 of them.
choose a better subject so we don't have to waste our time
get rid of the exclamation marks (who needs them?)
don't crosspost (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19515)

I don't have an answer for you, but as da franksta said:
Don't crosspost
Use a better/more accurate subject
You may want to try a search. I believe this was covered before. Make sure to look in the advanced forum too as I don't remember where I saw it.

Take heart. They don't mean to sound so bearish. They just want you to follow the rules.
I do have one suggestion - make sure you don't have any negative subtitle durations. This can happen when(if) DVD2SVCD adjusts the DVD's subtitles so they are no closer than 100 ms appart, and it wreaks havok with SVCD player's subtitle playback.
On my player, I get two possible outcomes: the player simply locks up, or the subtitle with the negative time stays on screen for a very long time. I have to hand-tune many of the anime subtitles I do.

have to hand-tune many of the anime subtitles I do.
This is interesting ... I've Philips 622 too and have a lot of problems with the subs. How is this hand-tuning done?
What happens if I change the default 100 ms subtitle adjust value to a smaller number in DVD2SVCD? Will it also do the trick or does it even make it worse?
This far I've only created 1 title with working subs, all the other attemps have crashed my player on some point ... power off by unplugging required
