Hi all,

I have bought this card hoping for better capture than with old one -Asus V6800, but when I start virtual dub capturing mode it says capture driver not installed properly. I can capture with bundle program comming with the MSI, but it's much worse than VD. Anyone knows how to install properly the capture driver? Asus ASV2 was working perfect with VD.
Any help highly apreciated. Thx.

Hi nepuko !

Iīve just installed my MSI GeForce3 Ti200 VIO under Win98SE.
WDM capturing works fine with Ulead Videostudio 5.0 and Wincoder.

With the WDM to VfW wrapper I can cap 720x576 in 6 MB MJPEG or 8 MB Huffyuv without drops.

Hardware:
Epox 8KHA+ Mobo
Athlon 1.7XP
256 MB DDR SDRAM
MSI GF3 Ti200 VIO (VTR ?)
SB Live Value
Win98SE
DX8.1a
DX Capture Update

Thx a lot darksoul,

I will have to try it. How do you see in wincoder how many frames are dropped. I was unable to find it. That's what I liked in VD.
And where to find DX capture update?

BTW under WinXP VD finds NV capture drivers, but too many frame dropped.

Thx again

Hi !

Wincoder doesnīt shows the dropped frames but my tests with some VHS buy tapes were very promising. Wincoder produces really good MPEG2 quality if your CPU is fast enough and you use at least 4 MBit for 1/2 D1. Only problem here:
I use win98SE and Wincoder doesnīt split the files above 4 Gig and just stops. :(

For the wrapper: Iīll attach it to this thread. Ask cart or some other moderator to unlock it.

Strange thing that happened today:
I tried to capture again and VDub didnīt find a capture card.
Even after reinstalling the WDM to VfW wrapper didnīt work anymore.
I still have my hardware MJPEG card so this is not big deal but what is going wrong here ????
