Hello, I am rather new to ripping, and I have a question I would like to ask. First of all I would like to say that I HAVE read the doom9 guides on Nandub, GKnot, as well as the Old GKnot guide.
That being said, onto my problem. I an currently encoding "Cowboy Bebop Session #5: Balled of Fallen Angels" The problem I have is that a section of it looks EXTREMELY blocky and of bad quality. for those of you interested, it is the scene in the Cathedral before the huge gunfight. It is VERY dark, and there is not much movement, just two people taking to each other for some time. The Dark background has more blocks than a lego set, and this is one of the pivitol scenes too!
I have heard that in GKnot that it is possible to specify which areas get more bits manually. I'm planning to use it to take away bits from the end credits (I can't do it the conventional way, since an episode preview follows right afterwards) and give it to the Cathedral scene. However, I've grown rather fond of Nandub and don't want to switch comepletely to Gordian Knot.
So, the question, how do I change the settings in GKnot, and still be able to encode in Nandub with minimum impact?
