joining avi files together

Just wondering if there is any utilities available to join the .avi files which are generated by the Xmpeg into one .avi file. This will save me joining all the Mpeg files before the process, which takes up a lot of disk space. I would like to process each Mpeg individually then join them together.

Virtual Dub or Nandub (if the movie has vbr-mp3 or ac3-sound) can join avi together. just open the first part and the select file/append avi and add the other parts. of course they have to be all in same resolution, codec and fps. Don't forget to set video and audio to direct stream copy.

Thanks a lot. I have downloaded the Nandub, but not sure how to unpack the file. The file I downloaded is nandub-binary-1.0rc2.rar. Can you tell me the utility to extract this file please? I am using Win98.

Just get winrar 2.90 and decompress the file with it.
