I need some serious help with vbr-mp3. I have several avi's with the vbr-mp3 audio. I cannot get them to sync when encoding to svcd. They are synced fine after converting the audio to a wav and saving the avi in vdub. I then load the video and the new wav audio in tmpg, encode, mux with bbmpeg, and voila! completely out of sync. I have read everything I can find with the search engine and I am completely lost! I normally use avisynth, vdub, tmpgenc, and bbmpeg. I also have nandub, but have never used it. Please help me with this before I lose my mind. If someone could give me a step by step on this I would be eternally grateful!!

Muxing VBR audio to AVIs is a very tough task - fortunately, Nandub is able to mux VBR MP3 or Ogg audio into AVIs. But muxing it into SVCDs is another task - if it is possible at all. In my humble opinion, it shall work in general for MPEG2 program streams to contain VBR MPEG audio; maybe just bbMpeg does not support that.

Moderator, please move this thread e.g. to the SVCD forum - maybe there is someone who can help.
