View Full Version : Maestro and chapter menues like SpruceUP ???
Hi, I like the quick menue maker from SpruceUp for my DVDs.
As you know (?) you can simply mark your chapters in SpruceUp and then press the button: Make Chapter Buttons.
After all you see little buttons with the chapters and the associated picture for each chapter point.
How can I make quick the same little chapters with pictures in Maestro ?

Maestro is a professional-level authoring tool, so it does not automate the process of button creation in the same way that SpruceUp does. This is because Mastro is designed to allow complete control over the way buttons are created, often using dual-layer photoshop files. The short answer is that you can create a background with fake "buttons" drawn onto the background, in your paint program, and then, using a default/blank subpicture (i.e. don't bother to import a subpicture, just import a background only), you can simply use Maestro's menu editor to define activation fields over the background where you have drawn your fake buttons. These defined activation fields can then be linked to the desired source in a similar way to that which you used to make your connections in SpruceUp. This is a VERY simplified explanation, but it will get you through to begin with.
