Lines in the picture

I have my dvd player hooked up to my computer to capture some video for a school project I am doing. Now I am using some clips from Jay and Silent Bob Strike back. There are these greenish, yellow lines going through the picture. It never did this on my tv and the only dvds that these lines show up on are this one and my spawn dvd. Anyone got any ideas?

halo......the lines you are seeing is from the copy protection in the movie. You'd be further off ahead to rip the DVD to your hard drive, serve it with dvd2avi, and use TMPGEnc to get the clips you want and just re-encode the clips to whatever you choose.
