we've all heard it and there's really no need for discussion.. atm thewef has 0 time to program so you can wish all you want.. you'll all have to stay with v0.23 for a while.. and all the suggestions have been noted and will eventually be integrated when wef has enough time.
this is not a request forum.. thewef writes this app in his spare time and some threads really make me feel as if the people writing think wef owes them anything.. shouldn't it be the other way round since wef spends all his free time creating a tool that you can all use for free?

Thanks Wef. I appreciate all the work.
Plus I love Gknot just like it is...

It starts to remind me of something - Nandub and Vv_Nn....
If you will keep asking the way you do it now (like Doom9 says : like TheWEF ows you something) soon you will be left with nothing.
Have more respect to other people! Do not demand!
Be happy with the tool as it is now or as it will be!
Report bugs, suggestions etc. But do not demand!
Well..Just to throw in my 2 cents...

Would it be possible to make a sourceforge project out of GordianKnot so that other people can help TheWEF? He has done a great job and I am quite thankful for the program, but I would think he would mind a little help. Although he might want to keep the source to himself so there aren't lots of modified versions of it.
Just a thought,

Ages ago I asked theWEF for the source so I could add in some MP3 encoding presets for my personal use (I am lazy :p). He said no, but he did hint maybe later down the line he might reconsider.

Be fair. If you created a popular software app wouldn't you be a little uneasy about just giving away the source? He has sole ownership of the prog and lets us use it pre-compiled for free. You are lucky he isn't charging for it! :D

Yeah, my only wish about GKNot is that it becomes open source (maybe on request) so that someone else can continue the work...

TheWEF isn't going to make the program open source ever. He has promised some people who he got some code from that he wouldn't let others have it. So ... at the very best you will get parts but even that is doubtfull. He's put plenty of work into it to make it the great tool it is and I'm sure he takes a lot of pride in it. Also if the source was avalible, lots of different versions would pop up, just like dvd2avi. It is nice to have only one of them. (It definitly helps with the guide making I'm sure).

Sorry to ask but if someone has a suggetion to make, is it forbidden to post it ? If not, which is the right section for that ?
I don't mean to be rude or demanding or greedy or anything, but I believe that every program can become better by taking into consideration the feedback by its users. I believe suggestions (NOTDEMANDS) should be allowed here...
Just my 2 cents.
Thanks in advance for any answer\comment..

To dolemite
I didnt know about your program but it lookes like a very nice program from the screenshots. so what I will do is to try it when I come home and then send feedback to you.
I am looking for something that has everything with avisynth support and does everything beside muxing for me. and I want to be able to choose everything and then push go and I want it to have support for everything withing the gui.
looks very interesting.

I hope you guys don't feel lost with my tool like I felt when I saw GKnot the fist time with all the features I did't know how to use until I did study some guides. Unfortunately there is no guide atm but I can explain things in this topic (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=220366#post220366)
Regard,
Dolemite
