ok well i decided to do a divx 5 encode to see how it look, with it being my 3rd rip ever. i have a few questions....
the first pass of the encode is done and the second started, i selected to use the mvfinfo file but i dont notice much a of a speed increase during the second pass.

secondly after 3.5 hours of finding the maximum gain value for the ac3 i think its encoding, in the dos window that popped up it is going really slow what is the average time to decode the ac3? cant i just use graphedit to convert to mp3 or will that not work because these are mp4?

i just want to know if i am doing it all ok so i just didnt waste so many hours that i could have been playing warcraft 3. if you can answer any of my questions or have any input on my situation it would be appreciated.

Use Besweet to convert the ac3 to mp3. What does any of this have to do with divx 5?

that was just one of the questions, the other one pertained to divx 5.

Hi,

Probably what happened is you followed doom9's guide and started the audio processing in Gknot, right?

Then you opened Virtualdub and started encoding the video.

Well, Vdub will grab all but a little of your processor, so your audio encoding (azid, lame, etc...) will take a long time to do.

Try encoding them both seperately.

ok well the video is done and i used besweet for the audio... i entered the delay that was in the filename of the ac3 into nandub when i synched them.... in media player its fine and looks great. in the player 2 or whatever is released with the codec the audio goes out of synch when i drag the slider. what can i do? plus how do i increase the volume with besweet when i convert from ac3 to mp3
