Question:

Is it still recommended to have

0.20 bit per pix for a 1CD-rip and
0.27 bit per pix for a 2CD-rip?

I think that you are setting yourself up for faults and narrowing your options by using such a strict rule.

I agree with Hanty here, don't judge it by the numbers, but by the results.

Also, the codec is so new that no one can possibly tell you what good generic values will be.
