How to extract chapters from vob

I want to do some codec comparison tesing with a few different sections of one movie and would like to extract certain chapters
instead of seeking to a point in vdub but aren't sure how to go about it.

Can anyone tell me the best method to do this.

Use SmartRipper. You can split VOBs by individual chapters very easily.

smart ripper doesn't allow for files on HD

That's true, SmartRipper is a ripping tool. However, you can select VOB splitting by chapter.
