I've opened a new forum for DivX5.. please use it for all DivX5 related stuff.
And respect the forum rules. Especially this part:
Do not ask "what's best" because this question cannot be answered objectively. Each and everyone has their own view about what's best in a certain area. The best is what works best for you!
we don't need no flamewars about which codec is best.. it will take us some time to properly learn to use all the new features (and DXn probably a couple of revisions to squash all the last minute bugs) and to do some reasonable comparisons. You should be aware that especiall in the RC (rate control = size prediction) area and in the psy settings area work is still very much ongoing. Currently the best way to make a good comparison is using the CQ mode, and use that for all the codecs. That way you can see the effects of a certain setting without other things interfering.
