What is the dif???


And then if I convert my DivX 5.0 avi file into MP4 what do I gain? (forget the sound, we will find a way to add it)...



PS: Vdub crashed if you give him MP4 output in the DivX 5.0 settings.


And one more good thing: If you abort the vdub process (not 1st pass of course) the avi file made so far can be playes :)...

OK I think I read that the new DivX 5.0 PRO features like b-frames etc are only working when the final avi encoded with DivX 5.0 PRO is converted to MP4. If you do not convert and leave it as any AVI file you will not be able to play these new improvements...
Am I correct?


One more thing. Which players support MP4 files. Is the new player provided with the codec plays AC3 sound correctly? Thank again...!

You can play files encoded with B-frames in the normal avi just fine. And the filesize affirms that B-frame encoding is indeed used in the avi.

until there's a guide on my page (that will happen once the format becomes useful.. now w/o audio it's useless) I wouldn't even bother..

the principle of relativity from my connational Galileo Galilei
say that the phisical laws are independent from the movement of the reference phisical system(not accellerated movement)
so they are not relative to a particular system.
the relativity is in the fact that ref systems move only one respect the other, and doesnt exist an absolute reference.

And in fact the speed of light(c) is the same in any reference system.
furthermore Einstein was able(genius,like koepi)to extend the invariance of phis laws to all systems, also accellerated.

the "difference" in some misurement, like local time, is needed just to keep the same, not relative, laws
