Doom 9 says about the 3/5 DivX announcement report, "A few words about MP4 output: Currently there's no way to add audio to these files but a solution will be released on this very page shortly."

are u implying that I cannot mux divx5 video with mp3 audio using vdub or nandub?

When you use .avi as output file you should be able to mux MP3 or anything else just fine. The only problem is when you use .mp4 as output file.

Maybe .divx output also gives probelms? Someone test that please?

The .divx files are really just .avi files that has been renamed.

A .mp4 file is written in an entirely different fileformat and is output directly from the divx5.0 codec.

But you can still create perfectly normal avi files with your favorite encoding tool using divx5.0
