I just got cce. And i dont know what format the files are suppose to be in. I wanted to try to re-encode an svcd mpg file i have. And it says error. Also, when u rip a dvd, can someone explain the process of using dvd2avi and vfapi so u can load it in cce to re-encode like robshot did. I couldnt understand his site really.

to reencode mpeg2 - i use dvd2avi (the same program used for dvds).. since windows isnt very mpeg2 friendly you have to use a program to interpret mpeg2 for it. although codecs may work i havent had too much success so i stick with dvd2avi

dvd2svcd might be an option for you as far as dvd ripping since its (sorta) automatic... although i think doing it step by step yourself is better to do (at least at first) so you understand the procedures a bit.
