I've done a copy of a movie from DVD to DVD+RW
with IfoEdit and HP100i dvd-burner.
It plays well on the standalone dvd player but
I would like to copy it on a cheaper DVD-R.
Is it possible to do this simply with the DVD-copy
function of Nero? Will it play on the standalone?
Please help me, because the dvd+rw are very expensive
and hard to find.

TIA

copy the dvd+rw to your hard drive using windows drag and drop.
then burn.

First you'll need a DVD-R/-RW burner !

With a +RW burner you're only able to burn +RWs

Some have noticed that a direct DVD copy doesn't work at all.
If you try to copy a DVD-RW to DVD-R via disc-copy, the burning tool says, that the destination disc does not have enough free space.
?Strange?

So, anyway you'll need to copy the files of your source DVD+RW to HD first, and then simply burn the files back to a DVD-R.

I had the same problem, but then i tried PrimoDVD and it works a champ (problem was with VOB InstantDVD).
