I have been using TMPGEnc for a while as a means of getting 3DStudio MAX animations to MPG2....but I have a couple of questions.
I render from Max at 720x576 25fps either Huffy avi or Targa files depending if I need to use Premiere for video editing etc.
I try to feed TMPGEnc by either frameserving from Premiere or with an uncompressed avi....so good so far!
The problem is, that the quality out of TMPGEnc at Pal DVD 8K CQ is not as good as I expect...motion is fine but detail is lost, the edges get a little fuzzy, writing becomes illegible.
So, am I encoding out of Max correctly, size/file type?
Can I improve on quality out of Premiere?
Am I missing something in TMPGEnc?
Thanks
