Audio Sync & IVTC problem with NTSC DVD

I am using DVD2SVCD 1.0.7. b1 with CCE SP 2.50 to convert a DVD to SVCD. After the conversion process is over, when I play the MPG files (I choose not to delete temporary files), the audio is not in sync by 2-3 seconds and there are lot of horizontal lines (IVTC not performed properly).

I am attaching the LOG file. Its a 16:9 NTSC movie of 3:04:49 hours. The name of the movie is DIL CHAHTA HAI. Its an Indian movie with audio in HINDI language. I am using P4 with 256 MB RAM on WinXP.

If I go as per the manual IVTC guide using TMPGEnc, I found that the movie changes its pattern quite a lot between "01010" & "10100". Is there a way that DVD2SVCD can take care of such an IVTC problem?

If I do the IVTC manually can we use the DVD2SVCD for the rest of the process? If yes, how? If not, is there any guide which can explain how can I do frame serving to CCE SP 2.50 while TMPGEnc does the IVTC on the fly (not saving the AVI from TMPGEnc and then giving the input to CCE)?

As usual it seems that the problem is because an external ripper has been used. See the delay: "Audio1 delay: 7374 ms", you have probably used smartripper. You have two choices, either rip the dvd again using the internal routines, or pipe the already ripped vobfiles through the internal ripping routines.

Its not a FILM/PROGRESSIVE SCAN movie but an Interlaced NTSC movie.

Just activate DVD Ripping and Internal Routines. Then load the ifo file. The only thing you have to do is to be sure that the already ripped vob and ifo files isn't in dvd2svcd's destination folder.

Try unchecking downsample audio.

If that doesn't work you are probably, I am sorry to say, out of luck. DVD2SVCD has problems with other rippers as stated in the Q + A.

You could try one of the other methods given on the Doom9 site. There are very good guides.
